One Book for Stevenage

In the “One Book for Stevenage” promotion, everyone in town is encouraged to read the same book. This year’s choice is the touching and hilarious novel “Q&A” by Vikas Swarup, about an Indian waiter who wins a fortune in a TV quiz show.

Read the book and then answer three simple questions for a chance to win an unforgettable seven-day holiday for two in India.

To help promote this project, There are some additional events in the Stevenage Festival, including:

Thursday 28th June at the Gordon Craig Theatre – Film night
A short Indian travelogue followed by Bride and Prejudice Another chance to see the Bollywood movie Bride and Prejudice. Gurinder Chadha, the acclaimed director of ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ marries Jane Austen’s refined social comedy with the all-singing, all-dancing spectacles of Bollywood. Tickets from the Gordon Craig box office.

Saturday 30 June Impressions of India at Stevenage Museum 12-4pm
Come along to Stevenage Museum and find out about different aspects of Indian culture.
